President Donald Trump was spotted yet again at a golf course on Friday — this time as a spectator.
The president made a public appearance at the U.S. Women’s Open, the nation’s top women’s golf tournament, being hosted at his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., according to pool reports. Trump, who earned cheers from the crowd in attendance, was seen watching the competitors near the 15th hole in a glass enclosure due to wet weather with his son, Eric Trump.
Golfers took notice of the president’s presence at the tourney. Lexi Thompson, one of the competitiors, told reporters that it was "definitely entertaining" having him there as the competition took place.
Asked about her assessment of Trump’s own golf game, Thompson added: "He plays very fast,"
Others, however, remained unaware of his whereabouts.
"I honestly had no idea where he actually was," said golfer Stacey Lewis
Trump has spent numerous weekends since entering the White House at his various golf resorts, primarily his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and the one in Bedminster, though it is unclear how frequently he has hit the greens during those visits.
