White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said Sunday that President Donald Trump’s approval rating among Republicans and Trump voters was "down slightly" and "needs to go up."
In an interview on ABC’s "This Week," Conway said voters were telling Trump to "just enact your program" and "don’t worry about a Congress that isn’t supporting legislation to get big ticket items done."
"He’s doing that," she said. "Nobody can deny these economic numbers."
A recent Quinnipiac University poll showed Trump’s approval rating at 33 percent. A Gallup poll reported it was 36 percent. However, the Quinnipiac poll found a 76 percent approval rating among Republicans.
